PROBLEM FAR FROM OVER

The police may seem to have in some way managed to quell the protests from large crowds, to a large extent sending a number of people back to their houses, but there is yet a greater problem that may not be easy to deal with. Reports reaching me reveal that the members of the Kikuyu community, who apparently own most of the transport vehicles that ferry people from most of the western Kenya region, on a revenge mission, are dropping passengers in the hand of Mungiki around the Naivasha area. These blood thirsty cannibals can then perform all sorts of rituals as per their religious beliefs. Kindly send information and a word of caution to people to this effect. Interestingly the media has not gotten this information and as such many may not be aware of what is happening. I wonder how the police will deal with this one as it is not possible to have escort for all western-Nairobi vehicles.

I also learnt that mainly in Dandora and Mathare North, people meet body parts at every corner as they walk around. Apparently, with the designs of the buildings, groups of are walking around hunting down and killing individuals whom they presume to be in opponent camps. This will also be a difficult one for the authorities to deal with.

With heightened hatred it is said that in Nakuru, Kikuyu landlords are evicting Non-kikuyu tenants from their houses, making the situation even more tense.

We appreciate the efforts towards peaceful solution to the current impasse, but in my opinion, the situation needed more radical and immediate solution. Mr Kibaki has kept within the confines of state house doing very little to reverse this grave situation that has come about due to his greed for power. The president should admit that he was installed to power irregularly and without conditions yield to the call for fresh elections to be conducted soon. This should be followed by a massive effort towards reconciliation by all Kenyans.
