Kibaki using dictatorship and Terror to remain in power

The recent events has confirmed what we have known all along - that the illegitimate government of Mwai Emilio Kibaki only wanted to use Kofi Annan mediated negotiations to buy time.

The "govt" has been using every lame excuse one can think of to drag the negotiations as long as possible and then finally, when they feel completely in control of the country, kill the negotiations.

What we have seen in Kenya has been a continuous progress in the negative direction. The PNU govt has no interest in the welfare of Kenyans at all. They do not care about the suffering masses, the poor, the orphans, the internally displaced people or the fact that killing the negotiations could be the last straw that would lead to a full-scale civil war.

In anticipation of peoples resistance against dictatorship, the govt has recruited Mungiki (an illegal terrorist group supporting the illegitimate govt) into the police and Army and distributed them in the ODM strongholds. There are also reports that firearms imported from China and looted from the national armoury have been distributed among govt friendly militia. This has set the stage for a massive slaughter of opposition members until they acknowledge the illegitimate govt.

One thing that Kibaki and his myopic advisers fail to realize is that the will of Kenyans cannot be crushed by guns. Many Kenyans value their freedom and democracy and will not yield to govt terror and blackmail.

As I write this, thousands of innocent people continue to be arrested in the opposition strongholds while others are executed in cold blood outside their homes. Two opposition members of parliament have been killed in cold blood under conditions that suggest political assassination with govt fingerprints written all over.

Kibaki may be having the upper hand now, he may go ahead and kill thousands of Kenyans in his futile attempts to remain in power against the wishes of the majority. But from history, we know that the people will always triumph.

What Kibaki has done set the stage for a people-driven revolution that will restore democracy, justice, freedom, peace, reconciliation, end to tribalism and corruption and end to dictatorship and imperial presidency.

Kenyans deserve better and will go for nothing less.
Bado mapambano!
